History of the Montessori Children's House of Nantucket

The Children’s House was founded by Lucille Jordan in 1982.

The school building was purchased in December of 1986. In 2006 with the help from the Nantucket Golf Club Foundation, the board of directors purchased the duplex adjacent to the school building for faculty housing.
